I cannot get these Pics to get any Larger without them becoming blurry.
Mom has been at a Rehabilitation Facility for the Past Four Weeks. She is doing well with Her Arms as They are Becoming Stronger Each Day. Her Legs, However, are still Paralyzed along with Her Bowels and Bladder.
I have Received Training to be able to "Cath and Do Bowel Prep." I have also Learned How to Transfer Her from Her Wheelchair to Bed, etc.
She will be Coming Home on the 31st. My Family has been Working Nonstop Building a Ramp and Making Other Modifications to the House...
My being Away so much has caused some Minor Set Backs with Layla's Behavior, but We are All Working to Accommodate and Adapt. It is Another Major Change for Our Family, but I Suppose this is Why God Trusted Us to Handle Mother's Injury. He knows We have Had LOTS of Practice!
I have missed Blogging so much. I miss Reading about All of Your Funny, Sad, Amazing, Corky, Stories about You, Your Families, Your Pets...
I have missed The Journaling Part. I realize now, Just How Therapeutic Blogging Really Is.
Once We get Mom Home and Settled into a Routine, I am Insisting on a Block of Time Each Day to Blog.
I Need the Therapy!!!!
I Hope All is Well with Everyone. I Think of You Often.
Please, Continue to Remember My Mom is Your Prayers and Thoughts!
MIssy...you are a very loving daughter and woman to be taking care of your Mom like you are. I've been there done that for my parents...but not to the extent you are. You need to be sure and do one thing to be able to make it through the long haul. Make sure you take time for yourself...the caregiver. If not you are going to be worn out before you take a deep breath. It is as important for your routine when your Mom comes home as sleeping, eating, brushing your teeth.
I'll be sending prayers and love your way...and you can always vent with your bloggie friends. Ask us no secret we tell no lies!
i've missed having you around lately. i think of you often when i see your updates on facebook & i've prayed for your mom & for the rest of the family who this is affecting. she's lucky to have you. and who knew that your girls were preparing your patience and self-denial to be able to deal with this?
I've been AWOL myself so I was surprised to bop over here and see the last two posts. I'm so sorry! You stated a truth though, God gives us the challenge because He knows we can do it. However you got your practice, He knows your capable. Happy thoughts your way!!
I have been thinking about you a lot lately and know it will be a new experience but we have to do what is necessary to keep going. You have been missed a lot and we will be right here for you when you have time. Take care of Missy too. Odie
