I have Missed All of You Terribly and Have Suffered Major Withdrawal!!!
I have Been Staying with My Parents due to My Mother's Health.
She Suddenly Became Very Clumsy and Her Legs went Numb.
An MRI Showed She Has a Cyst/Tumor (will know which after surgery) on Her Spinal Cord.
This Cyst/Tumor is Putting Pressure on Her Spinal Cord in the Area that Leads to Her Legs.
She is Scheduled to Have a Laminectomy on August 3rd.
Until then, We are Trying to Keep Her Still so She does Not Fall and Break Something...
My Mother is 71 Years Old and has NEVER had Surgery.
She has NEVER been Put to Sleep Other than From My Dad's Boring Hunting Stories! LOL
She is Terrified.
She is Also Very Independent and I am Struggling to Keep Her Still.
She Wants to Cook and Tare Care of Everyone, but Herself...
My Parents have No Internet Connection!
Can You Imagine???
The Only Wi-Fi Signal I can get is From the Neighbors and I Do Not Feel Right Stealing Wi-Fi!!
Blogging from My Blackberry has Proven to be Difficult, if Not Impossible!
The Girls are Having a Blast "Living with Granny."
My Mother had Had 100 Pedicures, 200 Tea Parties, Her Hair Teased, Curled, and Feathered, and Has Played Patient to the Cutest Nurses Ever!!!

I will certainly say a prayer for your Mom. Hope all goes well with the surgery and her recovery!
Prayers going up for your mom! Good luck keeping such an independent person in line. Hopefully the girls will continue to help amuse her.
Wonderful that you are taking care of your mom in her time of need. And don't feel guilty stealing WiFi, everyone does it.
I will say many prayers for you and your Mom. I have had three back surgeries. Some more successful than others. Please make sure she goes very slowly in her recovery following instructions to the T. Also if you can make it work that she stays in the hospital long enough for them to give her the first round of physical therapy before she leaves, usually 24 hrs it will help all of you. If you are going to be her caregiver...observe the therapy and ask how she should get up and down after surgery..in and out of bed, in and out of cars, etc.

of course prayers are on their way!!! and this is definitely an instance when stealing a little Wi-Fi would be acceptable... if it makes you feel better be sure to tell them AFTERward that they should probably password protect their connection later :)

I am glad they found this tumor before she really fell hard and seriously hurt herself.
It must be hard for her indeed to have people "caring for her" when she has been the CARE GIVER all her life.
(that was funny, only been put to sleep by the hunting stories!!)
